The Chile international has claimed the award during a month in which Arsene Wenger’s side managed just two wins in six games in all competitions
Alexis Sanchez has been named Arsenal’s Player of the Month for November, fending off competition from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil to scoop the award for the second time this season.
Firmino’s bizarre anti-Arsenal clause
The Chile international is the Gunners’ top scorer this season and was in impressive form in a month in which Arsenal traditionally tend to struggle, scooping 54.7 per cent of the vote.
Sanchez scored twice in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth in Arsenal’s only Premier League victory in November, to end a run of three consecutive draws against PSG, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Finishing second in the vote was Giroud with 26.2%, who returned from injury to score in the draws against Manchester United, Spurs and the comeback Champions League win over Ludogorets.
In third place was October’s Player of the Month Ozil, whose highlight was undeniably his solo winner against Ludogorets which sealed Arsenal’s comeback win from 2-0 down.
